When is the last date I can add DDP to reservation before arrival?

I've searched and cannot find the answer to this. I thought I had read somewhere that it had to be done at least 3 days prior to our arrival.

Since our travel dates do not fall within the Free Dining dates , I have been on the fence about whether or not to add the DDP. I went over and over the numbers. The bottom line is, dh feels better about being on the plan. He stresses less when he doesn't have to keep seeing the check at every restaurant, and when he stresses less, I stress less. It's a win win I think. Anyway, our trip is 2 weeks away, and I will likely be calling to add the plan. Does anyone know when is the last moment I can add? TIA

You are correct.....the DDP must be added at least 3 days prior to arrival. Since you are 2 weeks out, you have time to add it. Have a great trip :).

You can add it up to 48 hours before your check-in date and you will have to pay for it in full when you add it on.

I always thought it was 2 days... maybe just for DVC?

Thanks all!! I wasn't going to let it get that close. I was going to do it next week. I just upgraded my Chase Disney Visa to get double rewards, and they said it takes about 3 days before you start earning the 2% as opposed to 1%. It should take effect tomorrow or the next day. Hey! That's an extra $17 dollars! I could get.......an ice cream or a bottle of soda! :lmao: Just kidding. Things are so expensive down there though!

You're welcome :). I don't blame you for wanting to use the little bit of reward points.....every little bit helps ::yes::.

There is usually a $15 processing fee for any changes made within 2 weeks of arrival. Also, the cost of the DDP will be due at the time you add it to your resort package.

Just thought of something...do you already have a package or a room only reservation? If you have a package it's easy to add the dining plan. If you have a room only reservation, you'll need to book a package, pay for it in full when you book and then cancel the room only reservation.
