Due to DH job there is a very good chance we are going to have to postpone our 7 day eastern cruise from June 2002. So I need your help...when do you think is the ideal time to go.

I have cruised in February, September and November/December. I found all three to be excellent choices. You may run a risk of some foul weather in hurricane season, but be assured the ships are able to navigate around the storms for the most part.

Honestly, I would cruise any month of the year!! :) :)

We have gone in March, April (school vacation week) and second week of December. I liked december the best as the ship is decorated so beautifully for christmas. Plus we live up north so going to a warm climate in winter is wonderful!:pinkbounc

My favorite time is in the fall, late September/Early October. However, this is the heart of hurricane season, so there is a chance that you'll get re-routed. This is part of the adventure for me.

I like this season because the ships tend to be less crowded and the weather (and water) is still nice and warm (hot even) in the Caribbean. Also, it's not quite the high season in the Caribbean, and the ports tend to be less crowded. For example, on my last two cruises, one in September and one in December, there were three ships in port at St. Thomas in September, and five for the December trip. That's 4000 or so extra people invading the port on the same day we were.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. Taking into consideration everything you have advised I am leaning toward the 11/2 sailing of the Magic. Thanks Again
