We're going to DLR on Friday, Sat and Sunday (next weekend) and I want to plan out my rides and stuff. It will be the two grandparents, DH and I, and 5 year old DD . We are doing the Princess Lunch on Sat and are not booked for anythiing other than that. When would be the best day/time to go to Fantasy Faire? We want to go when it's not too busy so she can hopefully see some princesses and get a good seat. Does anyone have any advice on this?
Thanks!

I say a half hour or 45 min before they open, depending on how crowded it is. I was there during spring break and arrived about 40 min before PFF opened. About 15 min later... the line was rapidly growing and by 20 min later, I could no longer see the end of the line as it wrapped around a building.
After we saw the princesses we checked the stage area/store out and went to toontown for a while we came back around 10 for the coronation at 10:30. This was MORE than enough time. My kids met Lady Emma who gave them a crown with stickers... they explored a bit and created beautiful crowns ;) When the show started all the little kids go down by the stage (and some parents) and it really was NOT crowded at all (I was VERY surprised!) There were plenty of seats and some parents went down with their kids (I went back and forth). My daughter loved the show... singing, a bit of dancing and princesses of course! They do a cute may pole dance at the end with the kids also.
Have fun;)

"see some princesses and get a good seat"

To meet the princesses, I've definitely heard that getting in line early is good.

But as for the good seat, they have shows all day, and the storytelling is just seating on the floor (actual floor), so I'm not 100% sure you have to get there super-early for those things.

We went during Spring Break, got there about 10 minutes before the start, waited another 15 in line. So that worked really well. The year before, we waited over an hour in the afternoon.

is this all year round or only certain times of the year? my kids would love this!!!

I've heard a goot time to go is during parades...When we went in march, we werent able to go to PFF first thing and I went THREE times later during the day. The line was sooo long I was not going to wait in it...(1.5hrs). So I asked when a good time to come back was and they said during a parade. So I came back during the parade and DD and I waited about 30-40 min......

So that answers a question from another thread. There is no issue with having princesses there for meeting people while the princesses are also in a parade?

How *have* they mastered being in two places at one time? :upsidedow

Yeah, I wondered the SAME thing when I was there...I *thought* the snow white I saw at DCA was a little diff. then the one we met at PFF....The kids didn't notice or say anything.....

We don't push the characters as being real with DS (he doesn't say "let's go see Mickey, he says let's see the character Mickey, LOL), but he really really LOVES Jack Sparrow. So far he hasn't noticed that Jack seems to look a bit different on the two or three times he's met him...:rolleyes1
