When is School Out

North Carolina is pretty much set in stone. June 10.

Not if you're in the district with the controversial hybrid calendar. The kids here get out May 26th. Teachers: June 3rd

Our last day is June 22. We had 5 snow days but one was made up by a cancelled teacher workshop day.

Our high schoolers are out on June 9th-we never have snow days so that is just the regular scheduled day to get out. Our college kid has been done for a week already.

May 31st which is a 1/2 day. We were supposed to get out on May 27th, but we had two snow days (for 1" of snow), one day of morning temps below zero (kids here don't have proper winter gear/clothing for temps that low), and the next day after that there was a natural gas shortages so the schools had to close again.

We've already made up 3 of the days, but there's still one to go which is why we have to go back for a 1/2 day the Tuesday after Memorial Day. How many kids will actually show up that day?

My sister is in CT and theirs is June 27th. They had a lot of snow days to make up too.

I'm in CT and our district gets out June 15th. They build 5 snow days in the calendar but then we had 3 extra to make up. We were supposed to get out Friday the 10th. School will start again August 31st.

I'm a high school senior and my last day of classes is June 3 I have exams June 6, 7, and 8, and I graduate June 12. The rest of the school gets out somewhere around June 20.

DD14 in HS (9th grade), public school-last day June 23rd
DS9 in 4th grade, public school- last day June 24th

*We leave for Florida right after DS9 gets out of school on the 24th.

We are done June 2nd.. we made up all our snow days over Easter break. DS graduates Kindergarten May 31 we are not sure if he has to go back or not? One person I talked to said they do. Oh we go back Aug 29th... looking forward to no bedtimes, not getting up at the crack of dawn with a grumpy toddler..

My youngest gets out May 27 (private preK-8 school). The older two don't finish exams until June 9 (public high school).

We had many more snow days than usual. The private school used some scheduled teacher work days and holidays creatively to make them up. The public district's teachers union insisted on keeping the work days and adding every thing onto the end of school.

June 10th is my son's last day. They had 10 snow days, 5 that they have to make up

June 17th (Friday). Was going to be June 22nd due to snow days but those in charge decided to add 30 minutes to the end of each day starting on May 2nd until the last day of school. Only saved us 3 days and made lots of headaches for parents with day care, jobs, after school activites, scheduled appts, etc.
