My DD8 gets out of school May 27th wondering when others get out of school.

My youngest gets out May 27 (private preK-8 school). The older two don't finish exams until June 9 (public high school).

We had many more snow days than usual. The private school used some scheduled teacher work days and holidays creatively to make them up. The public district's teachers union insisted on keeping the work days and adding every thing onto the end of school.

June 16th is our last day - we are making up one snow day.

DS17's last day is officially June 16, but he doesn't have any finals (AP exams are this week) so he'll be finished on June 8.

DD's last day of 5th grade is May 20th. Pretty early this year, but they got their summer cut short last year because they wanted to start back earlier, so they could get out earlier this year.

Originally scheduled for May 27, but 1/2 day added May 28 (SATURDAY, Memorial Day weekend!) to make up last snow day. I'm sure attendance will be very high that day. The other two snow days were made up on Presidents Day and Good Friday.

DD13's last day of school is may 27th. our school system was approved for "forgiveness" of the two days we missed due to the april 27th tornadoes that tore through alabama, thank goodness.

North Carolina is pretty much set in stone. June 10.

June 3, no extra days for snow. It's was a really mild winter as far as snow. They made up the only 5 days over Easter. Usually they make up 5 days over Easter, then at least 2 or 3 days at the end of the year.

They only cancel school for roughly 8-12 inches of snow. We haven't had many of those and most of the cancellations were from the cold rather than snow.

June 22.
We actually have 2 unused snow days(4 are built into the calendar), but we don't get them taken off at the end of the year, we are getting May 31 and June 10 off nstead.

June 8th, here.

We had 10 snow days and none of them were built into the schedule! :( This was our third winter here. The first year they used 7 snow days, last year 8, and this year 10. (To be fair, we did get a LOT more snow this year--including one 24" storm--and there is absolutely NO removal equipment or plows.) I just wish the school would learn from the past and build some days into the schedule. They only ever close school--no late starts. They will close school for less than a couple of inches. My kids learned that they should play in it early because it often melts by mid-morning! :goodvibes

Once we hit 10 snow days, the administration started to panic (because of the lost time prior to the state test) and took away President's Day and two days of Spring Break, so 3 days have been made up. Unfortunately, all the rest get added to the end of the year. Final Exams start in 7th grade, so all Secondary Students will have tests those last few days--no movies or parties for them.

Oh, we go back on Aug. 14!! :scared1:

May 25th. DD18 graduates from HS May 27 and Christian "graduates" from MS on May 20. :thumbsup2
