When is School Out

NYC public schools get out at the end of June.

DD is graduating this year so her last day is June 3 with graduation on June 13. DS is in 9th grade and his last day is June 16.

In public school here in Laredo, Tx we get out June 2.

June 28th -- all snow days used. There wasn't a week in January that they went more than 4 days...

Our last day will be the 20th, on the 21st we are going to Disneyland

June 21- five snow days. Most schools in New England start slightly before or after Labor Day and end around the third week of June.

May 20 , but ds8 won't go back after the 17th.
We have awards program on 17, kids out at noon that day. Basically the next 3 days is baby sitting , so we are leaving to go on vacation .

My sister is in CT and theirs is June 27th. They had a lot of snow days to make up too.


For us, public schools it has always been the end of June. My DD graduates June 26th. Their last official day of school is June 10th. Exams start on the 13th. Last exam is the 24th.

Elementary is June 21st for last day

Middle school is is June 22nd.


Of course we start the day after Labor Day so a lot of areas are back in school before us.

My students' last day is May 27. I have Memorial Day off then four days of post-planning.

College is so early compared to the K-12 D:

Classes ended last friday. My school's finals week ends on Friday, which is May 13th. A lot of people go home on Wednesday. I have to stick around til Friday though. Then I'm taking the first summer session which lasts from a week later til late June. Marching band camp starts last week of August

We get a January break (term) too, which begins on December 13th then ends January 23rd...
