Hi there from Canada.

We run a summer business (CHalets and Motel) and we don't get to vacation during May till Sept.

I like to go to WDW in Oct, Dec or Jan but I am unsure of when it is the best time to visit DLP and Paris itself as to get good rates on hotels, less crowds but still have pretty good weather.

Can anyone give me any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi

In October you will benefit from fairly mild weather and of course the halloween celebrations at Disneyland Paris. Prices aren't too high but the prices and crowds will peak during the typical half-term period (usually the 2 weeks at the end of October). The October opening hours are usually 9am - 8pm for the Disneyland Park and 9am - 6pm for the studios.

In November/December you will obviously benefit from the excellent Christmas decorations but crowds will be high during the holiday season and the weather will probably be rainy and definitely very cold!

A good website to check out is

and also, the official site www.disneylandparis.com

Mid-September was absolutely PERFECT for me. The weather was gorgeous. Paris was a little cold in the a.m., but I am cold at anything under 70F. Besides, with the empty parks, I could sleep in and get to the parks at 11 a.m. and still see it all while taking it slow. Some days were colder than others, but the afternoons were warm (tank tops). I know 2 weeks (waiting until October) can make a big difference, but most people are not as sensitive to the cold as I am.

Oh, but I would defnitely recommend going during the week. The crowds sound like they really pick up on the weekends, and prices at the hotels skyrocket as well.

DLP is in a valley so the moment the wind gets up it just whistles through.
If you go for christmas try to book dates before the 16-dec after that the price shoots way up, but the tree lighting and everything is fantastic.

Halloween is also good as the change frontierland in to halloweenland. But the crowds are quite busy around these times.
Just remeber your woolly jumpers.
