When is Jersey Week 2004

I am new to the Dis!! Yeah Me!!

We are planning a trip to WDW Nov 12-19th of 2004. Is this a good time to go??? And when is Jersey Week. Is it something to be worried about???

Also, does anyone think there will be a great package like the fairytale of last year?

I am not from New Jersey. Someone from there would probably be able to give full details. I believe it's the week of Election Day, which is the first Tuesday in November.

I haven't thought of "Jersey Week" as a problem except for weekends at the Magic Kingdom and at the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot. The locals come for weekends, too, and it gets crowded in the World Showcase. With your trip dates, you should completely miss the Jersey thing, and the Food & Wine festival ends on November 14.

There haven't been any packages similar to last year's deal announced, except those offered to some new applicants for the Disney visa card.

I don't want there to be a great package for that time! I'm going the 11th-14th and I need AP rates! They didn't offer AP rates last September due to the popularity of the package and personally I'd hate to see that happen in November.

Dying to meet all of us wonderful Jersey people, Rags? The state convention is on November 4 and 5, so expect to see Jersey people at WDW all that week.

My kids are off the 4th and 5th too. Looks like you are in the clear. Last year Jesrsey week was pretty busy by the end of the week. Every other year during Jersey week was not bad at all.

I'm not from Jersey, but from what I've learned, Jersey week should be ending the week before. I'm planning a trip around the same time. Looks like you'll be catching the end of the food and wine festival.

Thank you all so much for your responses!!! Is the week before t-giving a ggod time to go? How are the crowds/weather? Sorry for all the questions but we have only gone to WDW in the summer when it is really hot and crowded.

We have been the last 3 years for the week BEFORE Thanksgiving week...not the week of Thanksgiving!

I have to say that is my absolute favorite week of the year at Disney...the place is practically deserted (begins to fill up Friday evening before Thanksgiving and by the Sunday before it is a zoo..I always feel like the proverbial salmon swimming upstream as we fly out on Sunday!!)

No crowds, perfect weather...it's the best.

This year we will be going the first week of November since our kids are out of school most of that week...unfortunately so is the state of New Jersey...so I am sure it will be much more crowded than we are used to.

I just got our kids 2004-2005 school schedule and they will be off Nov 11 & 12 for Veteran's Day and a teachers institute day. I see that someone posted that the Jersey Week convention dates would be Nov 4 & 5. Would most people take off the days before 11/4 or after? I'm considering going to WDW the week of Nov 7-13 and was wondering if the Jersey Week crowd will still be there?
