Me and the wife are saving for a Jan 2013 vacation with our 4 kids, we are wanting to stay at WLV and we plan on doing some special dinners.

with this being the kids first trip i dont want to blow this... but i also dont use credit cards so with the trip costing around 9 grand i still got some saving to do.

what does Disney require as a deposit?

If you are booking a package, the deposit is $200 with the balance to be paid in FULL 45 days before arrival. Have you considered getting the Disney Visa card? You get 6 months interest free on a package. It might be something to look into, but ONLY if you can pay it off within that 6 months.

Yes to the PP.

If you are booking a room only ressie then you have to pay a one night deposit at time of booking and the balance when you check in.

OP...you want to be in a villa right? Your best bet is to find someone to rent points to you. It will cost you a whole lot less. Each person though will have their own terms with regard to payment. Look over on the DVC rent/trade boards.
