When is Castaway Club Reception?

This is our second cruise so we are Castaway Club members this time. When do they typically have the member reception on the 7 day Western?

Last year and according to a recent Western Navigator it's on Monday at 11 am.

Okay, I see it now. It's called Castaway Clubhouse. Gotcha! Unfortunately, we have reservations for Palo brunch at that time.

Don't worry it really isn't such a big thing to attend any way..at least in my opinion. There is a clue/answer hunt, a 'building of the magic' video in three sections..the "how many cruises have you been on" game and then the captian and other officers give 'pep' talks and then they hold a few contest. When we went in June they were giving away the siver/crystal mini desk clocks..which we did win one but now we don't even know were it is There is also canned sodas and some yummy snacks provided. So you really won't miss much. I would'nt cancel your Palo plans.

What do you do there? Is it worth going?

It's held at Rockin Bar D and Diversions and I think if need be Sessions as well.

Is it worth it? That's a matter of debate on the boards. We always try to attend, there are some refreshments, some give aways and we enjoy meeting the officers. We think it's fun. I think we've only missed one gathering in our past cruises.

Nope just soft drinks and coffee, I guess cause it's at 11 am.

We always like to get the Mickey rice-krispy treats and bottles of water to take back to the room with us. And you get a pen which is always nice to have. They served cookies and soft drinks, too. This was in December on the Magic and the same on the Wonder in April 2008.

We always like to get the Mickey rice-krispy treats and bottles of water to take back to the room with us. And you get a pen which is always nice to have. They served cookies and soft drinks, too. This was in December on the Magic and the same on the Wonder in April 2008.

Oh YES the Mickey shapped Rice Krispy treats were SOOOOO good!!!
