When is a good time to go in the fall?

Hi everyone! My family and I have usually gone to Diney in August, but with our schedules this year we went in December and found it a great time to go. The twins are turning 16 in October, though, and would like to go for their birthday! When is a good time to go in the fall?

We go the 2nd week of Oct and really enjoy that time of year. The crowds are a little heavy on Columbus Day weekend but nice during the week. The weather is warm and the Food and Wine Festival is the best!

We always plan our trip the 2nd or 3rd week in October and love it, the weather is great and the crowds are not the bad at all.

We liked going either the very end of September - first of October, or the very end of October - first of November. Very low crowds both times.

I've gone in June and October. We prefer October. The crowds are lighter and the weather is great. You do have the threat of hurricanes, but it's very minimal. Plus, most schools are back in, so the amount of kids is cut down.

We went the second week of October, for MNSSHP and also for the Food and Wine Festival, it was totally beautiful! We also went the last week in November, which was a little less busy then October, but they both were great times to do down,( and the second week in October was not that crowded anyway. )
