When is a good time of the year to visit

We go in October almost every year. It extends our summer (we are in Upstate NY), this past week it was mid to high 80's. Not humid at all, and we spent a good amount of time relaxing by the pool. It was not to hot for the parks either - good pleasant days.

October has gotten a little more crowded than when we first started going, but nothing bad. The longest waits I saw were 50 minutes, and that was unusual (except for Toy Story Mania which is always busy). Most days we walked on most rides in the mornings, and at worst they got to 30 minutes.

NEVER go the third week in October! Weather is terrible, lines are so long, nothing to do, etc, etc, etc.:guilty: Have I scared you off yet?:scared1:

Actually we just got back from WDW yesterday from a week in paradise. Not a drop of rain. The high temperature never was below 80 or above 90. The nights were cool enough but not cold and we never waited more than 15 minutes for a ride (Using my vast knowledge gained from the DisBoards and fastpasses).

Also we love the Food & Wine Festival, MNSSHP & Eat to the Beat Concerts (.38 Special:thumbsup2)

This is when we always suggest to friends to go.

I like to go late Sept into early October or January right after the kids go back to school. Although January can be chilly.

My favorite time is in November in the weeks before Thanksgiving week. The weather is nice, the crowds are relatively low to moderate. I also like the first week of May. We went in the middle of January once and it was cool some days, warm others, and the crowds were low.

We're going in early December and I heard that last year it was cool and rainy. A friend of mine goes that week every year and she said that it is usually beautiful and warm enough to swim. Last year was the first year in many where the weather wasn't good. I hope we have better luck this year.

We went the second week of March this year and it was gorgeous, but a bit cool to swim. We spent more time than usual in the hot tub. The last two days we were there, it poured buckets. The year prior, we went in late March and the weather was fantastic. It was in the 60's overnight and around 80 during the day and the crowds weren't bad at all. It was ideal, but we can't travel that time any longer with my son in school now.

Next Spring, we are going mid-April. I think we have a good chance for good weather, but the crowds will be higher for sure. We'll just have to get creative with the fast passes.

May: If we're going to parks. Usually nice weather and small crowds.

September: If we're more interested in swimming and relaxing. Weather is hot, small crowds, good time to go to MNSSHP and soft opening of Food and Wine Festival.

New Years Eve: Simply intense!

End of October - Food and Wine Festival and Halloween Party.
Early December - Christmas Decorations and the storytellers at Epcot
End of April - Flower and Garden Festival

My picks are for a combination of lower crowds and things to see/do.

We just came back from a short 4 day trip. Weather was record-breaking temps up to 90, no rain. Halloween Party was crowded, as usual, but there was no problems with crowds at Animal Kingdom or Studios. Of course, Toy Story fast passes were all gone by noon!

We have been in February, April, May, June, August, September and October...all are great for different reasons. No crowds in Feb, but not so nice weather when we went. Overall I would saw October is our favorite time because the crowds are minimal, and the weather is mild. Good luck with your decision!
