When is a duplicate thread not a duplicate thread?

I tried posting a new topic. I keep getting a message it is a duplicate of a thread I previously submitted. But it is not, and I don't see any of the messages. :confused3

Well, I could be wrong as to why it happens, but I definitely know it's happened to me. :goodvibes

It usually happens when I hit submit and the servers are overloaded and it can't send my message but it has *tried* to send it somehow. Then I try again and it tells me it's a duplicate but the first one never got sent and doesn't exist.

I usually cut and paste my message (if it's long) into word and wait until another time when I"m online to change a few words and send it. If it's a short message then I'll usually try again later, or if it's not important enough, I'll forget about it.

I think it happens from time to time when there's a lot of activity. I'm sure someone more technologically savvy will be able to expound on the reasons for it. :goodvibes

Thanks. I tried it again, changing the title and wording slightly and it went through.

A month or so ago I had this problem and did a search and found advice on this problem. It turns out if you make your title very short, this problem goes away. It worked for me. Good luck!

Sorry I don't remember the name of the Dis'er that gave me this great advice.
