That beach fireworks pciture is one of the coolest ones I've seen, just magical!!!

It was a great night. Even with RnR being crowded I did enough to be happy that night.

ToT was loud and rowdy and not too obnoxious but just enough to be FUN.
I have had some screamers but never that many in the car.

In Oct we will have to make the rounds !!! Park hours are a bit shorter but plenty of time to run around. And when the parks are all closed the resorts are still open and so are the bars.

Wow I sound like a lush.

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Kgroo- Kristen, her daughter and her husband today at ... where else but a pool.
Kristens daughter Chloe is taking swim lessons at a pool nearby so I made the trip to say hi.
It happens to be the pool a friend runs and my son works at so a fun time all around.

I HAD the party car- it was wild. So hard to explain but sooooo much fun.


I love watching the fireworks from the Poly. When Elena and saw them the night before in the hub they were all around you which is also nice but you can't SEE them without swiveling around. At the Poly they all line up nicely.

So true!!! It was great seeinf them twice!! The Poly beach was great!! Can't wait to do it again!!! Hopefully this year!! Are you going?

I go on adrenaline at Disney- I try and pace myself but I just can't sleep if I know a park is open.

Your fireworks pics came out great! Mine didn't come out as good as yours. A few are decent.....so what are those tips MEK gave you? I can always use night/firework photo tips!

just wait 3 weeks when I an out there for 3 hours starting a meet. I now get an umbrella so I don't melt. But I can't wait for the sun to go down.

Mary Ellen Said to use the TV setting and then adjust the shutter speed to get the best picture. Takes some practice and a little dumb luck on my part.
Moving rides are the worst. If I can stand still and hold the camera still while I press the button I am halfway there.

New Years Jan 1st
Being I drifted off to sleep or probably just passed out at about 3am, Some might not be surprised that I woke up at 7 am. I was moving slowly but not really because I was tired. Yes 4 hours of sleep might leave some tired but usually I can do it once in a while.

I woke to a heavy head. What in the word does that mean? Congestion.
Not enough to make me lay back down but enough to make me feel like I had a bit of a hangover when I had not a drop of alcohol to cause it. Those peas were conspiring and my body thought they wereeveil and had to fight back.


No evidence of taking a Benadryl but I am sure I took one. At least I hope I did.
I was in the shower by 7:30 to let hot water run and hopefully break up the congestion. Today was the first day of the new year and the day we would move resorts. I had done some packing already and just needed to pack up the last minute things. I finally opened the curtains at 8:30 and woke the bear.

He packed up the last of his things and got ready. I called luggage to transfer our bags, even though I was calling a cab to get us over to AKL to check in, I did not want to schlep bags down and into the cab. Lazy? Maybe, but I was on vacation and we only took what we really needed to carry ourselves.

Luggage services was at the room in less than 10 minutes and took great care of us.
I called down to the front desk to find out who I needed to call to get a cab. The last time I was given the number and I had to call direct. This time the magic words” I will connect you” were said.
Remember this was New Years Day at 8:45 am. The conversation with the cab company went something like this:

Cab Company:- Hello May I help you? Where do you need pick up?
Me:- Yes I would like to be picked up at Saratoga Springs Grandstand building and going to AKL.

CC: Ok so pick up SSR at Paddock to AKL?

Me: No, Grandstand please.

CC:- Phone Number please

ME: XXX-XXX-XXXX

CC: XXY-XXX-XYYX?
Me – No XXX-XXX-XXXX.
CC:XXY-XXX-XXYX?
Me- More Slowly and deliberate- X X X- X X X - X X X X
CC: XXX_XXX-XXXX
Me : Hooray you got it ( not really but I was cheering on the inside)

CC: So pickup at Paddock?
Me No Grandstand.

CC: - Grandstand – Sorry – 5 minutes.

So we make our way down towards the bus stop. This way I could see the entrance because well I was not convinced this was going to work.
Last picture in the room. 9 am

You would think Chris was out partying all night.
Yes we take the most important things with us…

Take a look at the long package Chris has in his lap. That is his sword. Remember that package. Dum Dum Dum…

WE see bus after bus and maybe the cab wasn’t the best idea but hey- no biggie. My phone rings. The cab driver is wondering where we are – HE is at PADDOCK!!!

Once again I correct him and tell him Grandstand. A few more minutes and I see him over in the parking lot. We start over there but he comes over to the bus stop.

I confirm that he is for us and then he says


“ Hurry Up. I can t stay in the bus lane.” Really? I would have gone over to him.


We pile in and head over to AKL. A few minutes later…

Fare was $18.00 Not too bad for across property.

The wonderful driver wants cash…. Nope I want to pay by Credit card.

I win but then it takes time for the card swipe to process. The driver reminds me that that is why he wanted cash, the card swipe is slow.

We head in to check in.

Our room was not ready but we were taken care of quickly. Dropping our treasures at Luggage services and we head to the bus stop.

Destination…

I tried to get this from the cab but failed. Seems like I failed again. But you get a glimpse of was greets you at the entrance to Jambo house.

Finally at a bit before 10 am we are seeing this.

A nice CLOSE bus stop.

Where do we go and what is next?

Ugh to the congestion and the hangover feeling. I actually get that when I take Benadryl. That stuff totally knocks me for a loop.
