Wow, those are some wonderful DTD shots!

Thanks to MEK I got some tips for dark shots and if I actually slow down enough to be still I can get some nice shots.

I missed this the first time. I don't guess I ever knew CR was your first stay. Of course you would have a special place in your heart for your first Disney resort. We have a special feeling for Pop for the same reason.

My dad had a convention and we stayed at CR in 1975. The surprise of the EWP every night is why I MUST see it at least once a trip. Of course I prefer the Poly beach to see it from but I will feel truly like I missed something if I miss it.

Love seeing all the Christmas decorations at the different resorts.

The only description I found was that it was a 24K overlay. I am surprised I did not get the price. It probably was not displayed with a price because I may have fainted it I did see it.

I feel like I am missing something if I don't visit each of my favorite resorts on every trip, and truthfully, I would like to have time to visit them all every time, but it's just not possible. Brooklynn enjoys doing the crafts and seeing the animals at Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo and Kidani. We have some cute pictures of Brooklynn at OKW over in the sandcastle area, and I want to get over there with Bella and take some this time. Also, I want to get Bella over to All Star Movies to take pictures, because I know she would enjoy seeing the Toy Story and Dalmatian areas. So, along with all of the rides and shows, I have a whole list of resort things I want to see and do on a regular basis. Plus, I want to eat in every restaurant, and we're chipping away at that. This Disney thing is just getting out of hand!!!

Going out to walk over to the Poly

I find Chris laying down at lookout point. I practically bump into Elena and her family also at lookout point. We meet up with the NYE gang at the Poly.
Chris at some point decides to go back to the room. Not sure if he is just tired or what but I don’t fight it. I try and get him to stay a bit or at least go over to DHS but he is not having it.

There was a small group in lounge chairs by the beach and a larger group up by the building and tekdavid's ?? room. This is where the webcam was and dancing and general craziness was going on.

So we settle in and watch

Time for the Main Event- say oooh and ahhhh.

Fireworks over, plans were discussed. Despite my urging I could not convince anyone to join me at DHS. YES I was going to DHS. I made a tactical error in 09 and tried to wait at the Poly for a DHS bus and ended up just going back to the room.


This time I had figured out my mistake. So this year I headed here.

Yup, walk to TTC and hop the bus from there.

A short wait and I was on my way.

Not too bad for after fireworks and walking over and waiting for a bus.

A mere 3 minutes later- how is that possible.. I am looking at this

Now I remember to take a picture of my new AP that I got at AK earlier. I guess I was excited. Would Donald be kind to me?

Of course I have to say hey to the Main man BO.

Happy New Year BO. Doesn’t he look happy tonight?

Almost like he had a girl in his chokehold earlier that night???

Lots of people all milling about by the stage. I wish Chris would have made it out. Lots of younger people but not Kiddy City. Music was classic rock and pretty neutral so he would have enjoyed it. I sort of danced my way through the crowd.

I made a beeline for The Osborne Lights.

Little bit warmer this year.
Having my fill of the lights --- Yes believe it or not. Spent about 40 minutes back there.
I finally went to see if I could get a ride or two in.
Off to RnR.

Using the single riders line because well I was alone but not quite single
Imagine my surprise when the door opened up from the recording studio and there were people RIGHT OUTSIDE THE door. The single riders line was backed up all the way to the studio doors.

Ummm.. NO! So I went back through the recording studio and the CM looked at me. I told him the line was way too long and then I left.

So what now… ToT of course.

It was about 1:50. Park was open until 3 am but I was actually getting a bit tired.

Until Now..

I had the craziest crowd in the queue at ToT. Not obnoxious drunks but happy party goers. And Loud.

Once we got seated in our elevator, the noise began. Banging on the cage, screaming yelling and whooping and hollering. Nothing horrible but quite fun.

On that note I made my way out. Feeling tired and a bit run down I head up to the exit.

Bus at 2:26.

By 2:50 am I am left off for the short walk back up to the room.

In Bed by 3 am.
New Years Day – New Year- New resort.

The weather begins to change and well the peas catch up with me.

Isn't that the way!!!! I am slowly getting out of the Cram Everything You Can into the Trip mode.
I know I will be back.
I still try to list what is important and special about the time of year etc. and make sure I get to those things.
You just keep needing longer and longer trips.

Hopefully during your non-park days you can explore to your hearts content. It will never be enough time but there is always next time.

The first time I had a CM ask if I had found it and then give me a hint after I told her I wanted just a clue.
This year I just wandered and looked. I was giddy when I found it. I do love that is somewhere new every year so always something to go back for.

Every once in a while - Like MEK or her husband said says .... even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while

If you wait or go back to the lights close to closing, it empties out and is really nice. I do go back and have some cute video.

I HAD the party car- it was wild. So hard to explain but sooooo much fun.


I love watching the fireworks from the Poly. When Elena and saw them the night before in the hub they were all around you which is also nice but you can't SEE them without swiveling around. At the Poly they all line up nicely.

I go on adrenaline at Disney- I try and pace myself but I just can't sleep if I know a park is open.

Probably- I kind of arrived post- party but things were still pretty active. Apparently they all made a run for RnR.

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Kgroo- Kristen, her daughter and her husband today at ... where else but a pool.
Kristens daughter Chloe is taking swim lessons at a pool nearby so I made the trip to say hi.
It happens to be the pool a friend runs and my son works at so a fun time all around.

Picture or it didn't happen so here you go.

Kristen it was great meeting you and your wonderful family. Chloe is going great in the water and will be on swim team in no time.
