I forgot about that one! I loved that show with Karen Valentine
also liked Welcome Back Kotter

Just remembered another one - Square Pegs!!

Watching it right now on DVD :cool1:

I am "old" so it seems. I remember that while I was in grade school we loved to watch "Star Trek", "I Dream Jeannie", "Daniel Boone", "Flintstones", "Beverly Hillbillies" all in glorious black and white. We didn't get a colored tv until 1972.

I've already posted but I was thinking of a couple shows I used to watch when I was a kid (80s):

Square 1 (1987- 1992)
321 Contact (1980- 1992)
Polka Dot Door (1971- 1993)
Today's Special (1981- 1987)

The last 2 anyway are Canadian shows...I was wondering if anyone else ever watched them. Today's Special was one of my favorites; we even had the "soundtrack" on cassette lol! My very first crush was on Jeff when I was 6..I saw him live in a parade once and I was SOOOO happy! I can still hear "Polkaroo!" when I think of the Polka Dot Door lol! They really don't make shows like those any more!

I LOVED Square 1...this is the description of the show on IMDB: "In this sketch comedy series for preteens, principles of mathematics are presented through parody and music videos...". :rotfl2: I was such a geek...maybe that's why I want to be a teacher lol...

OMG, how could I forget Fame! The world would stop when that came on! I loved it when Debbie Allen used to stop her stick down on the ground, that sounds a little odd, but it's true. I still have the Fame 'album' soundtrack. I have it on album and cassette, which is really sad because I have no way to play either! I loved Fame so much that in 4th grade I used to wear leg warmers to school. I thought I was so cool with my maroon leg warmers! :lmao:

Also, I lived in England for a stretch and there were some shows there that I don't know if they came on in the US, I don't think they did, but maybe there are a few English people reading this thread.
I can't remember the name of the TV show itself, but the guy was called Worzel Gummage and his head would turn and twist off I think? Also, Grange Hill, it was about school kids. There was another one where a guy went in a phone booth and that was his travel machine. Then of course "It's a Knockout." That was my favorite English show. I broke my shoulder one day and I didn't want to go to the hospital until that was over!!

::yes:: Friday's were the best in the 80's as well. It was "The" day to catch all the best shows!

Some of you reminded me of a few others that I can't believe I missed! Especially Doctor Who! I also watched Silver Spoons, Happy Days and a few other 80's shows that were mentioned.
