When has KSF typically come out?

Does anybody know which months have had KSF in the past? I know it's usually only for sailings that aren't selling well, but is there a time of year (months) that tend to see discounts? Thanks.

We took advantage this fall, they offered for Jan Feb Mar on D Magic saling out of Galveston. I think it is more as needed.
