We are a family of 4 (DH, me, DS (7) and DD (5)) have booked the Le Cellier Steakhouse at Epcot for lunch (1 table credit vs 2 for dinner). We are on a deluxe dining plan that allow you to pick one appetizer, 1 entree and 1 dessert per credit. Since we are not a big eater, and I am wondering if we can just use two adult credit for our lunch (may possibly pay out of pocket for a Mac and cheese or sort) and share the food ? I am hoping to save two credits for breakfast at the food court at our resort. Is it possible?

I don't really understand - you want to use one meal to feed all four of you? That can probably be done at Le Cellier, if you think it will be enough food. I seriously doubt that one Le Cellier lunch will feed four poeple even if they are not big eaters.

Im understanding that you want to use 2 TS credits for lunch for the 4 of you. A small handful of restaurants dont allow this. But I believe most do. Im not sure about LC but it doesnt hurt to ask. 2 TS might be enough for the 4 of you...plus appetizers.

If they're doing lunch in 2012, two credits will get them two meals which would be easier to share.

Sorry for the confusion. Yes, I am planning to use two adult credits and share among the four of us (Since there are appetizers and I am pretty sure it's more than enough for us).

Anyway, thanks.

As other posters have said, that should be fine at LC. Depending on the appetites, you might need 3 meals to feed 4 adults because the apps aren't huge at LC.

The only place I know that you cannot share credits is at Via Napoli.

If you spend 2 credits on lunch at Le Cellier in 2012 you will get 2 meals. If you do it in 2013 you will get only one meal. Just want to make sure the OP isn't thinking Le Cellier has already gone signature for lunch.

Almost all of the restaurants will allow you to share when you're using dining credits, but as a pp said, the one exception seems to be Via Napoli.

Since you're on the DxDDP you'll each get 3 dining credits per day. Unless you are planning to do a lot of 2 credit meals while eating 3 meals a day you really wouldn't need to save credits and then pay for extra food OOP. We found 2 meals a day was plenty. The one or two days when we had 3 meals planned it was a lot of time in restaurants and too much food.

We are having two days DXDP and want to spread into three days to use.

ah! I thought it was strange that you would get the deluxe plan if you're not big eaters.

while we have never done the deluxe plan, we love to S t r e t c h the dining plan. we like to stay at 2 resorts, and purchase the dining plan for just the first stay. then use a TS credit for the firstnight of the 2nd stay.

oh, but as DVC, don't you have a little more freedom as to how you buy the dining plan?

smart planning!!!:thumbsup2

I agree with this.

I don't think there will be a problem stretching them. If all 4 of you are on the DXDP and you have it for two nights (3 credits and 2 snacks per night) it should not be a problem to split it to 3 days. Just use two credits and a snack each day.
if you aren't big eaters i don't think you'll have a problem.

Just want to be sure.

I assume the lunch can save us 2 kids credit. I don't expect another table restaurant will accept these two credits (kid) for us to have another table meal at breakfast, but I assume I can use them for getting adult-size breakfast at my resort food court?

I need the last two table credits to spend on the last night for dinner at California Grill and I just want to make sure I don't screw up. :-)
