I am considering spending a night or two at Animal Kingdom villas just to try them and then moving over to out home resort, BCV for a week in December. How does this work? Does Disney move everything for you?

When you check out of AKL, take your bags to bell services and tell them you are changing resorts. They will transport your bags to BCV for you. The transfer only happens once a day in the afternoon, so make sure you have everything you need with you. You probably won't see your bags until early evening.

We do split stays all the time. Very easy as Bell Services handle everything.

The only problem we ran into was when our bags were coming from CBR to AKL. It took about 6 hrs to get our bags and the kids wanted to go swimming. So now I learned my lesson and make sure I take bathing suits for everyone with us, just in case.

i'm doing my first ever split stay (BCV to AKL) in July so thanks for this information!

Have you got those nights booked already? If not, it may be difficult to get them.

Yes I have them booked. I was on a wait list for the 1 bedroom at Kidani, Savannah View. Wait list came through in ONE DAY! I was very surprised!

It was probably the one I cancelled and replaced with Standard Views! :)
