When does your child start school?

I'm in MA and the Pre-5 start on 9/7/07 which is a Friday and is a 1/2 day. Then we head down to Disney for a week on Sunday :good .

Our schools started August 9, here they have 3 days off at Mardi Gras (Friday before, then Monday then Fat Tuesday) and lost many days in both 2004 and 2005 to hurricanes, so I think they factor that in somehow.

My DS's school just switched from being year round back to traditional! (SOO Happy about that!!) His first day of 1st grade was today! (Kindergarten went by sooo fast!)

My DS started 8-21.
We live in a suburb of Denver, CO.
He goes to a Charter School but his school
uses the same callender as local Public schools
in the county.
I am taking him out of school for an upcoming WDW Trip.
Can't Wait!!!

Thursday, 9/6 is our first day--1st grade, 4th grade & 6th grade (middle school this year!)

My son starts his last year of high school on September 4th.

My kids don't start until September 4th-pre-k, 4th & 6th. But we don't get out until Second week in June.

DS started 4th grade way back on July 30th. His school is on a modified year round schedule meaning he gets 2 weeks off at the end of Sept. and beginning of Oct - and that's when we'll be in WDW !!!
