when does the new dining plan start?

Just wondering if anyone knows the exact date when the new plan goes into effect?

January 1, 2008.

Guests whose trips/packages start in 2007 and carry over into early 2008 will be under the 2007 plan/rules, at least according to what a few DISers have been told.

If you arrive as of 1/1/08...you will be under the 2008 dining plan!

We're planning a trip for May 2-10, 2008. And I would like to know how much is the DDP and is it really cheaper than ordering alacarte? Can you share meals because of the large portions. Would the DDP be benefical for a 4 yr?
We're staying at the All-star Movies, is the DDP offer for the value resorts?
