I know it's a long shot to ask but does anyone happen to know when Sun Country will start bookng flights out to December? It feels like forever that they have only been booking through September. :guilty: Iv'e tried their site but nothing there and no way to contact them but in writing. I just feel better once I have that part of the trip paid for, then I KNOW we are going. Heck or high water, we ARE going!

I think they tend to release 6-9 months out. Maybe by March? dudspizza may no more about their schedule of release as he seems to be the Sun Country guru around here.

PPony: I feel your pain. Sun Country doesn't let you shop a whole year ahead of time for their flights. But they are great for last minute flights. Way better than NWA. Right now I'm playing cat and mouse with NWA for free FF tickets to MCO for October, and waiting for them to go for less miles. I'm not making any other definite plans until I know I "get there"!! Good luck, I know it's hard being patient trying to get out of MN!! NEED sunshine! :sunny:

Thanks guys!!! Hopefully dudspizza will see this post! :) I was just hoping to patronize the smaller local carrier this time. :flower: Yes, Minnesotans NEED sun and despite how mcuh cooler it might be in FL in Dec. It's going to be warmer there than here so I'm all for it! Anyone else "prove" their hardiness by wearing shorts when it's 30? :rotfl:

Did you call me a guru? LOL :earboy2:

To be honest, I am very surprised that they are only out until September. I would guess should be out soon. October is 9 months out, so they have to be coming around soon.

I booked my June 05 trip in October 04. That was 9 months out and the fares had only been out for a few weeks at that time. Hang in there, they will come out.

Check your PM.

Still no sunshine for me but.................

THANKS DUDS! If I had any nails left to bite, I'd be biting them! :teeth: filthy habit LOL I'll certainly post when I see anything out that far! Enjoy the "warmer" weather guys! Our poor headless snowman. ;)

Flights became available for October through part of January today! PARTY!!!!!!

Well that's good to know. I checked my Dec dates and it's $305 per person so I'll be waiting still.

Yeah, I noticed they were rather high! They have been that way since late 2005. They have not been offering the nice $84 each way, even at initial posting. Sun Country is my airline of choice, but if they stay that high, Airtran and others that can get lower than them will get my business.

I'm the same way, love the nonstop that Suncountry and NWA has but will always go with the cheaper flight.

Problem is, right now, nothing is what I would call "cheap". SC's $305 for my dates is the best so far. With ideal flight times, NWA is $375. But there's time...I can play the waiting game.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with NWA. If they go kaput, it would be nice to see if SWA might try to get a foothold in here.

I have wonderded the same thing....

Know what you mean I always try for the $200 range too if I can.

I was also thinking we could do better than the $305. It really puts it into perspective though when the first time I flew to WDW I paid about $400 a piece. I HATE waiting but I'll be watching daily. I'll post if I see anything chage drastically. Hope someone else does if I miss it too! I'm planning on buying as soon as it dips below $275. I was hoping they would dip down on Monday to meet some of the other compainies that are quite a bit lower right now. cross fingers! :shamrock:

I hear what you mean. My first trip was my honeymoon. DW took me to Dayton's Travel and we booked the entire trip there. Airfare, rental car, hotel, and park tickets all in one package. I have no clue what we paid, but I will guarantee you that we paid ALOT more than we pay now.... now that I have a clue how to find deals!

Well, I weakened, I just couldn't pass up Midwest's $244 a piece. They're a small carrier too so I feel like I'm still doing my part in supporting a (relatively local) small carrier. I always get anxious to book a flight because at that point there IS no going back. Resort ressies can always be refunded (by the deadline dates) and we've done it before but once you book you flights, you are locked in. Mentally anyway, unless you want to give up on that $ or pay bucks to change dates. Sorry I couldn't hold out for SC. Now I can relax and enjoy the planning. :woohoo:
