Because we are just off the Dream double dip today and were charged regular pricing for both stops.

I could have sworn we were going to be charged the upcharge due to time of year.

Usually mid-Apr to mid-Sep.

How much were you charged?

Did I really get lucky? Wondering if anyone has actual practical experience in being charged the seasonal pricing.

Was it a singular charge of 643.93$ or was it a charge of 591.18$ with a surcharge added that maybe I'm missing?

I was on the Dream 5/1-5/8 and $590 for both stops too, we were expecting the higher charge as well and were surprised, WiscMom, any chance you were on the Fantasy? I am glad this question was asked, I thought we were the only ones wondering

Yes,we were on the Fantasy. Does that make a difference? I thought seasonal pricing was the same on all ships. :confused3

Were you concierge? Just wondering how you got a cabana on both days. Will be on double dip in 3 weeks and couldnt get either day being platinum and I am really not happy : (

Yes, we were concierge. Nothing left for platinum on family beach both stops at midnight, 120 days out.

Additionally, concierge guests who didn't get their requests in promptly were also not able to cabanas on both stops (maybe one stop, but not the other). And there were none held back on the ship for those who tried to get one onboard from the concierge team.

This is why I was surprised we didn't get issued the surcharge.

It's shocking that Disney hasn't yet doubled the price of CC cabanas. If they're all gone before even gold level cruisers' windows open, Disney is likely leaving thousands on the table each day.

We are just Gold and in the same boat or maybe on the same boat as we leave in 3 weeks or so as well! LOL

Not sure it makes a difference, just curious if it varied by ship, since OP and I were on the Dream figured I'd ask

I don't blame you!!!

OK everyone, please don't flame me for this...BUT...

I TOTALLY understand Concierge getting first cracks at a cabana, but on a double dip, it would be nice if Disney offered Platinum cruisers the opportunity to book one before Concierge gets to book both days. Just my opinion.

No flames - but we booked the double dip as concierge to get cabanas for both our days at CC. I'm paying a premium to get access to the cabana. Just my two cents...

Agreed. We are both platinum and concierge. I chose to have concierge book the cabana both days. If I'd taken a chance on having one available by booking with my platinum perk, I'd have been out of luck. I don't even feel slightly bad about that. Concierge trumps platinum because it is a crazy premium, and one of its perks is earlier access to the cabanas. I have no doubt that one day even concierge guests will get tiered access to cabanas: Cat R first, Cat S (classic), Cat T, Cat V last.
