When does Poly prices go up?

Still can not buy in NY. Hope they hold the discount price for us unable to buy in before.

My guide was not working this weekend so I called DVC and emailed him.

Dvc notated that I called and said I could talk to my guide tomorrow and still get the price.

New Yorkers may also want to email guide and call DVC tonight. Hopefully they can still give you the discount.

This still amazes me. I am baffled how the head of DVD could mess up this badly. I hope DVD allows those impacted by DVD's poor planning to book undeclared rooms when they buy. Otherwise, people in NY (and any other state) could miss out on rooms all because the head of DVD didn't plan ahead.

Anyone know if California is still blocked? (I'd call them, but I know they're swamped today, so thought I'd check here first in case anyone happens to know.)

Edit, found the post where someone in California received the packet from their California based guide. Guessing this means California has been able to sell for about 2 weeks.

Thanks dizfan! Nice of you to look that up!

Now if I can only make up my mind whether I'd rather have a guaranteed lake view in a desirable week, or a contract split into 2 for resale reasons.... I'm driving myself nuts trying to decide. :upsidedow

Good luck with your decision.

By the way, I like your username. I am very excited for Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. The description remind me of the Advnturers Club mask room. I always thought they should bring that to AKV when they built it. Happy they are bringing a similar concept to Poly.

Unfortunately, I don't think so. As of last week our CA guide still couldn't sell. Those packets went out from DVC directly (they did the personalization from our guides). I ended up call DVC switchboard and got an FL based guide who could sell (I'm in NC, we're approved here).

Wow, that is terrible planning on DVD's part. Not being able to sell to two of the more populated states CA and NY when bookings start tomorrow.

For those not living in CA, they should have required every CA guide to transfer to a sales person in Florida so DVD could sell. Every CA guide should be letting Iger know what they think of the poor planning on this. In my book, this is a major mess up by the current head of DVD. The whole PVB process is rushed for DVD compared to how thing happened under his predecessors.

Bummer about Ca and NY sales still being blocked. Fortunately for me, I'm not in a big hurry here, but I can see how this would be a big annoyance for someone who was.

Thanks dizfan. I'm also very excited about the new Trader Sam's and agree with you about the mask room vibe. You're right, it would also have worked very well at AKV. Not to get too off topic, but I seriously miss the Adventurer's Club, which was in my mind the best Disney "attraction" ever.

We paid $165 last August for VGF. According to the DIS DVC resource page it went from $160 to $165 in June 2014 and hasn't gone up since.

I do not believe they have announced anything. VGF is getting close to the points remaining level that AKV was when it was called sold out. I would be shocked if they do not raise the price to match BLT once they call VGF sold out.

wdrl's January VGF sales numbers were big. February will be another good month. I would suggest watching for wdrl's February sales report on DVCnews.com to have a good indicator of how close they are to calling VGF sold out.
