When does magic band activate?

we arrive next week after playing softball all week in FL. I did online check in with 2:00 arrival. There is alway the possibility we could arrive much earlier. I know our room won't be ready, can we just go straight to the parks for a little while or do they not activate until our check in time?

As long as you have park tickets linked in MDE, you should be able to use your band to enter the parks. I don't think it matters if you're checked into your room yet or not.

yes, you can use them in the parks prior to check in.

ETA: you just won't have charging privileges until you check in.
