Reason I am asking is if I was to go again next year I would like to arrange it for the summer season so we could see the fireworks, but I wouldnt want to go over there during summer holidays and I would want to try and avoid the height of summer as me nor my dd are fans of heat.

It really depends on which my finances go over the next year, I know my original plans were going to be to try and go in January but I have decided to get a make over for our back garden.

So when does the summer season start and when does it start to get unbearably hot?

Its really the same as the weather here...could get warm around may time...COULD.

Was like winter some of the days in our july trip!!

Summer season fireworks go from Bastille Day (4th July?) until end of August only.
I would think the beginning of July would be the least hot out of those 2 months.

When does it get hot? Wish I knew - and I went last month!:lmao:

It was pleasantly mild for the whole week we were in France, but I wouldn't have described it as hot at all. That was in the middle of August. :confused3

lol ! i agree

it is france after all ;)

pretty much same weather as we get here ,so could be anything !

we went in early aug and had some rain but mostly sunny and warm (but not too hot)

also last yr we went in early july, and had same kind of weather ! some rain some sun

Agreed, I have been to DLP 50 times over the last 16 years, throughout the year, and I have encountered very few "HOT" days. Also, most of the attractions indoors are air conditioned.

We were hopping for a bit of sun going the last week of August, but it rained for half the holiday, and was nice on 2 days. In 2007 we went for 2 weeks in June and it was wet and cool for the majority of that vacation too.

Most of this summer's trip I was warm enough in shorts and vest but some days I needed a hoody, especially early morning and late evening.

We did notice it was very hot on the two days we went out of the parks, once to Paris and especially on our day to Provins but it wasn't that hot that it was uncomfortable and we had no problems walking around in it.

I've been walking round the park in shorts in September and a fleece in June before, it's really hit and miss over there a bit like the temperature over here really :thumbsup2

I went in August about ten years ago and that was unbearablely hot!! However, as others have said, it all totally depends. I find the tail end of August is cooler in France (As a rule of thumb, not a dead cert.) but it would be crowded in DLRP.

I'm not a fan of the heat either..... Yuck!
