When does it get dark in your neck of the woods?

I'm sitting here in the Union at the University of Maine, in Orono, ME, looking out the window and realizing that it's not dark yet, but it's more than "dusk." It's 3:48pm on 12/13. Can't wait for more daylight to happen!

We are much farther south than you, sunset is about 4:45 here in southern California.

I love going north during summer when it's still light at 9:30 at night.

TOO DARN SOON!

It's pretty dark driving home at 5pm lately. I don't see well in the dark and try to not drive after dark if I can avoid it. And it's been rainy on top of it all so that just makes it darker & harder to see.

It gets bright around 8.15am and gets dark about 4.15pm in Dublin, Ireland. We only get about 8 hours of daylight, which is mainly overcast and grey, very little winter sun or blue skies

Western MD here, we had freezing rain this morning, raining lightly now, temp is 32. So it's already getting gray. Official sunset today says 4:51.

Sunrise today at 7:09 and sunset at 4:18. It's felt worse lately because it's been overcast most of the time, though. I hate it.

I love the early darkness....feel like it gives me an excuse to get my pajamas on as soon as I get home haha! But, I know I'm in the minority about the dark.

It's dusk at 4:45pm when I leave work, and dark by 5pm. When I leave the house at 6:10am to get my daughter to school drop off at 6:30 it's dark. Sun is rising between 6:50-7am when I'm on my way to work.

It's still completely dark when I get to my office at 8:00 am (not sure when it gets light as I'm in an inside office). It's also pitch black by 4:30 pm when I'm on the way home. I start feeling a little spark of hope at this particular time of year because very soon the days will start getting longer again. 6 months from now it will be full light by 5:00 am and the sun won't set until 10:00 pm.

Visiting in New York now and sunset was 4:20 PM. Got dark earlier as there is heavy overcast. Just looked up back home in Florida and sunset was 5:31 today.
