Does anybody have a date as to when Expidition Everest will be open to the general public?

someone said in a post to me the other day it was open to everyone?
because I am a florida resident and got a email stating since we were florida residents we could ride.
then someone on the board said it was open to everyone...is this true?

according to another message board, it is up and running starting today (unofficially) They expect it to run pretty much all the time, it should only be down if there is a problem or if they need to tweak things!!

I leave a week from tomorrow!!!!!! I can't wait, I may be at AK everyday!

We're not Florida residents but got something in the mail about our upcoming trip in February and it mentioned being able to ride EE. It's basically one of those letters that are sent to everyone and they fill in your family's name.
It said:
"Before it's official opening, take a sneak peak trek on this new high-speed train adventure where the Yeti (aka Abominable Snowman) lurks!"

How exciting! Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be open when we are there in March! :thumbsup2

Keeping my fingers crossed for next week when we are on our spontaneous B-day trip. I am getting even more excited.

I rode it on Thursday!! What an awesome ride!! I don't think many knew it was open because we were able to walk onto it as many times as we wanted with little or no wait. The longest we waited was about 7 mins and that was for the front seat! We rode it 5 times in a row and ultimatly got to ride 9 times. we were in line for number 10 when they had to shut it down for awhile. We had hoped to ride but didn't really expect to, Everest was the topping on our trip!

I rode it on Thursday too! (It was open to everyone) My wife and I rode it twice in a row. Around noon I timed the standby wait at 6 minutes!

I read on a board somewhere April 7th is going to be the official date
