When does disney take down the christmas decorations, end MVMCP, epcot candelight

we are thinking of planning a christmas trip but would be arriving on Jan 1st (staying for 6 days). would we still see the christmas festivities? how long do they typically run for.

In 2005 we arrived on New Year's day and all the decorations were still up and Osborne was 'on' until the evening of the 2nd. By Wed, the 5th everything was gone. We were actually glad, we'd had our fill of Christmas by then and palm trees and 80 degrees don't scream 'Santa' to us.

Candlelight processional ends around Dec 30th, MVMCP ends Dec 18th or so, and last year the Osborne lights and Cinderellas castle lights were done on Jan 4th.The decor comes down around Jan 4th or so.This past year it was up slightly longer due to a strong Florida cold snap.But the lights were off, just not taken down.

That's not exactly what happened this year (2010.)
They made a special announcement and actually intentionally operated the lights on the MK castle and left up the MK decorations thru Jan. 10, 11 or 12 due to the unusual cold snap.

Don't expect that to happen this coming season, however.
