When does Disney start allowing package bookings for 2007?

I'm so bummed! I just called tonight to ask for 2007 packages, and she did say at least Aug!! maybe the end of!!! This is so un Disney and really sucks.

I really don't think anyone over there knows....unfortunatley, many times we (Dis'ers) know about rates being released before CRO does...

Disney is listening though that people want to be able to book packages for 2007.
You do have two options though--you can either book a room only reservation (and cancel that and rebook a package later) if you wish (as almost all of 2007 is available in the system for booking CRO rooms right now--500 days out) OR you can book the basic package (no tickets, just a room in the WDTC system with package terms/conditions) and modify to a different package when Disney makes their decisions on what they will offer (which at this point is very likely to be August.) The basic packages (no tickets, dining, etc.) should be available in the system any day now.
We are all just going to have to hang tight for a while longer to see what Disney will offer in 2007 for their packages.

what I don't understand is yhe ppl who have trips jan. 1st 2007 can make ADR's etc. on July 1st, so you would think they would have to be out by then. I can make my ADR's 2nd week of July and I will not be a happy camper if the information is not out yet for me to book!

Thanks! I didn't know that. I was worried. We are going 1/27 to 2/3/07 and can book our ADR's the end of July. I wasn't sure it it made a difference if the package was booked firste or not.

You don't even have to be staying onsite to book ADRs so it makes sense that you don't have to have your onsite ressies booked to make ADRs. Of course, this didn't occur to me either until I read it here on the DIS They will ask if you are staying onsite and which resort but that's about it. Glad to help!

i know, but thanks anyway b/c I'm sure some ppl were not aware! my problem is if the packages are different, I may book my ADR's different if they change the MYW dining or anything, so i feel kinda bad making an ADR I may or may not keep that could be taking away from someone else getting it. although I am going in January and it probably won't be to crowded anyway...... so maybe I'm just a control freak who has to know what is going on at all times! lol!

I just booked a visit for next February (through CRO), and was told that AAA rates are not yet available. While I know that a room-only AAA rate is different from a package, is it likely that these rates are worked out and released along with the package details? My initial concern when hearing they were not available for my dates was that they had already sold out.

(We're not interested in a package, since we will probably never use the dining plan, even if it's free, but AAA is definitely of interest.)

FYI - I just got off the phone with Disney - I changed my ressies. I asked when 2007 packages would be coming out and he said "in a month or two".

DisneyLand did the same thing last year when I was booking a HUGE over the top package for march 06. I was told july july, called back and got told sorry but it now wont be till august 15th or around there when I would be able to book everything and that was including the hotel no basic hotel only was offered. This year just sunday july 2 wdw said they wont be booking until august for packages, so I only booked basic room package so far.
