When does Disney decorate for the holidays?

We want to go when Disney will be decorated--when does this happen? My aunt went around Christmas one year and sent us a picture of the castle all done up in lights like icicles--it was awesome! Does anyone know the earliest this is done? Thanks!!

I believe thanksgiving weekend

The Magic Kingdom should be fully decorated by 11/10 which is the first MVMCP.

The official start date for the christmas items is NOV 28. And i'll be there to see it since I booked an impropmtu trip to POP for the next week since my DVC is not closed yet.

We have been at WDW the weekend before Thanksgiving and the place is decked out. I can't imagine any more decorations going up--even after Thanksgiving. The Gingerbread House at the GF is up--Osbourne Lights (which I believe this year are starting 11/27) have been on and holiday parades are parading!

I would agree that at least the MK will be decorated on 11/10 for the first party. We'll be there over Thanksgiving and we're hoping for some more done before the 28th also as we leave the 29th.
