When does dining plan kick in?

Tentative plan is to arrive 2/21; so first night would be that night, but we plan to head to the parks right away. So would the dining plan be effective he minute I use my park tickets or would it kick in the next day since i won't have spent my first night there yet?

The dining plan "kicks in" as soon as you check into your resort. The credits are on your KTTW card, which is also your room key, park ticket and charge card.

The credits are based on the number of nights you are staying at the resort. They can be used starting at check in and will expire at 11:59 PM of the day you check out.

Your dining credits are active as soon as you receive your key card. Makes no difference whether you enter a park or not. Your park tickets have no connection to your dining plan allotments.
