When does a Week of points start

Hi a newbie here contracts are in the mail....

When does a week start for points. So I am looking at VGC and a studio is 143 weekly - I know that means 7 days but is it any seven days or only Fri to Fri or Sat to Sat - we wanted something like Sun to Sun.

DVC does daily bookings. They publish the weekly point requirements - probably b/c that's what many people are used to with timeshares. So - a week begins any day that you want it to and the number shown is for 7 consecutive nights.

A week is any seven consecutive nights.

just make sure you don't start a 7 night period in one season and end in another, in which case you would pay the daily price according to each season.

Weekly rate is the addition of the number of points for the individual nights.

And it is OK for your trips to cross between "seasons." Being a teacher I do it all the time since I travel during high point times and I am trying to get the most bang for my points so to speak. I think the previous poster just meant that since DVC charges points per night and does not force you to do a week like some traditional timeshares, the total for the week would be incorrect if your dates cross between seasons.

The point charts are based on a nightly stay and you can start a weekly trip on any day of the week. Furthermore you do not have to stay for a week if you don't want to. You can do pick any number of nights you want and then check out. If you have enough points for 3 days or 20 it is up to you to decide how long to make your reservations for.
