When do your kids start school in 2015?

We are also from LI, and our district starts September 3rd. This is the first time I can recall that we have ever started before Labor Day. They've also shifted our spring break to be nowhere near Easter this year. First time that's been done too.

Wow, some very early starts here! What a shame that kids can't enjoy the entire summer. Our kids never start before Labor Day.

Our Kids start back August 25th. It keeps getting earlier every year. Soon enough, they'll be going back in July. When I went to School (Same District), we didn't go back until after Labor Day.

It all balances out in the end, I think. My son started Pre-K 8/13 (southwest Louisiana) but he finishes mid-May. I'm 30 years old and as far back as I can remember, the school year dates have always been about the same.

Bergen County, Northern NJ, Sept. 3rd. My children are missing the first 2 days of school because we will be at Disney til Sept. 6th.

We live in northern Illinois. I'm a teacher and went back last Wednesday, August 12th. My DD is in a different district and goes back this Wednesday, August 19th.

Our 2015-16 school year already started, in NC, on 7/7, year round school.

In NJ, children are only required to attend school for 185 days. How many days does your state require for the students to attend?

New York - September 2nd (north of the city - entire school district, most districts here start right after labor day)
