When do you restart or when did you start 2005 School year?

We're in NJ and our kids go back September 7th. - I hate to see the summer end.........

the kiddies go back the day after labour day....Sept 6th I believe and we get 2 weeks off at Xmas.

In the south part of Atlanta we started school on August 2. We get a week off in September (our Disney week), a week at Thanksgiving, two weeks at Christmas, a week in February, (my and my hubands time at Disney, alone without kids, they go skiing), a week in April and the last day of school is May 26. We usually are the first school system in metro Atlanta to start school. It works great for my family.

Here in northern Ohio - most schools started today....2 weeks off at Christmas, one week for Spring Break. School ends first week of June

Something a little different...we started July 7th. We are year round and go 9 weeks on, 3 weeks off, 9 on , 5 off, 9 on, 3 off, 9 on 5 off. We love it....the shortened summer stinks but it is great having 3 weeks in Sept to go to DISNEY!!

We start on Sept 7th. We don't get a firm answer on our final day of school until around June 1st-- however it is usually right around June 20th.

We will have a full week off for Thanksgiving, 1 week for Christmas (we sometimes get 2 it depends on what day the holiday falls on), 1 week in February, about 5 days at Easter, then 1 full week at the end of April.

Here in the Toledo area, my daughter's school (private) started yesterday, and she gets 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week at Easter, and is out June 7. Other schools in our area started Aug 17, and still others start Sept 6. There's wide variation even in some metro areas.

I homeschool my youngest and my oldest is in private school. They both started yesterday. They will get out in May. Public schools here start tomorrow (Aug. 25th). They will get out June 9th.

In our corner of NE PA, the kids go back on Monday (8/29). They get 1 week for Christmas, 3 days for Easter, and their last scheduled day is June 16. There are 11 snow days built into the schedule, and they get any unused days off at the end of the year.

In Central Texas, our schools started Aug. 16 (but most others in our area started this week). The kids get a 3 days at Thanksgiving, 2 weeks at Christmas, and 1 week in March. Their last day of school is May 25th. We have 2 inclement weather days built in (1 in April & 1 in May), but we RARELY need those. We hardly ever see snow. We sometimes get a few ice storms in February. However--it is 102 here today

Usually we start the Thursday after Labor Day, that's 9/8 this year. And we end around June 21. We get one week off during Christmas week, a few 3 day weekends in Jan and Feb, and a week off in April for Spring Break (usually it's the week before Easter).

School here starts August 31st. We get 1 week off for Christmas, 1 week off in February, and 1 week off in April. We get out mid June, but it usually gets extended til late June cause of snowdays.

Yes are schools start up on 8/30 for some and the rest of the kids go back on 8/31. As of now the last day of school is 6/14 but that will change depending on snow days.
