When do YOU put up your Christmas Tree?

I this year I have a Christmas job so I will put mind up when I have time. It depends on how tired I will be. I worked in a mall area.

The day after Thanksgiving usually but not this year though. :)Probably be that weekend though. I love to decorate the tree and I want time to enjoy looking at them. I will have DH outside hanging up the lights.

We put up our decorations the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The tree usually goes up the Sunday before Christmas. We always get a live Christmas tree and if we put it up too early it gets dry.

We usually wait til the calendar reads December.

I used to work with a lady that would actually put her tree up in September!

Our tree usually comes down on Jan 2nd. By then, I get tired of looking at it.

We do it the weekend after Thanksgiving. :) I love going pick out a tree. I need to find some new, nonbreakable decorations for the bottom of the tree...DS wasn't mobile last Christmas, but now, at 15 months, he's all over the place!

Christmas presents usually pop up under the tree whenever they are bought, except for Santa's, of course. DH and I are usually really bad about not being able to wait until Christmas morning to open gifts, but now with DS, we'll have to wait!

Our goes up the weekend after Thanksgiving and gets taken down January 2nd. All the gifts get put under the tree as I have time to wrap them. Santa puts out the gifts from him Christmas Eve.

Our tree goes up the weekend before Christmas. We always go to the tree farm, do the hay ride out to cut it down etc. This year we will get the tree on the 18th, bring it in on the stand and let the branches fall and warm up that night. Then we decorate the next day after Mass.

I take it down the day after Christmas. I have been known to take it down Christmas night if I can't take it anymore. I love the tree and the way it smells but my house is so small that we have to move a chair out of the living room to make room for the tree. Plus DD's birthday is Dec. 31st. The tree has to be gone by then or we will never get the whole family in for her party.

My neighbors just laugh at me because my tree has been at the curb Dec 26th waiting for the recycling truck to pick it up.

Yep,
We put ours up the weekend after Thanksgiving. My philosphy is - One Holiday at a Time!:D

Growing up, we always decorated on the last weekend of November.

For some reason though, my mom started decorating earlier every year after left home. Before she died it was the end of October.

As for me, I usually do it at the end of November but I probably won't be decorating ta all this year. There's no point. I will probably have to rip it all down by the middle of December since I will likely be moving to another country at that point.

This year we will put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving.
Last year, we had just purchased our house and didn't have any ornaments, so we didn't put up a tree for Christmas. On 12/26 we went to Target and we bought a fully decorated artificial tree for 75% off! We had to take it all apart, but it was well worth it--it had 6 strands of lights and over 100 bulbs and ornaments!

We kind of have this tradition of doing it on Thanksgiving night, we usually do the whole big family dinner thing and end up getting home at 7 to start our tree !!

We put our Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving, and the outside lights up the weekend after Thanksgiving. The day after Christmas everything will be packed back up and put away to start a fresh New Year.

Ours goes up the first week of December & comes down the first week in January

We used to put up our tree 1 to 1and 1/2 weeks before christmas when we had a real tree. Now that a recent addition to the family is allergic to real trees, and we have an artificial tree now;we usually put our tree up thanksgiving weekend. But this year we are putting our tree up the weekend before thanksgiving because-WE WILL BE IN WDW THANKSGIVING WEEKEND!!!:bounce:

The first weekend in December. But this year, we will be in WDW, so I guess we need to put it up earlier. They are fake pre-lit, so they're easy to put up. BTW, we put up 6 trees each year.

 :teeth: We love Christmas!
