When do you pack?

LOL funny you should ask that question. DSis and I don't leave until Dec 1 and I have already started packing. I know I know why already? When I see something on sale I need for our trip I buy it and put it in the suitcase. But for the official packing its usually 2 days before we leave.

I'm a procrastinator. I pack the night before right up until we leave for the airport. LOL I do have a bag hanging on the door that I've been throwing in little things as I think of them..sunscreen, ponchos, misters, etc. I wish I could pack ahead of time...it's just not in my nature.

ha! ours is 6 months away & I wanna pack! I already have 3 out of 6 outfits planned (little nuts I know)

I am totally the same way! In fact, I was at the mall today, and I was like "this will be perfect for Disney"-- but we are not going until Sept. It's crazy. I can't tell my friends & family my little secrets b/c they will make fun of me-- but thankfully I can share my craziness with all of you!

I made my DH get our suitcases down from the attic last week and I already packed all the disney clothes I bought, travel sized toiletries and things that we wont be using between now and then. I am considering shipping myself a box of prepackaged snacks and maybe some ponchos from the $1 (haven't purchased yet). I have my packing list already printed and ready to be checked off as the items get packed.

We are 2 weeks out, 21st of May, and I started packing 4 days ago. Ha ha. It drives my wife crazy, but then when you pack everything except the kitchen sink you haft to start early.

I have a list made, and a bag of freebies and other things I've collected to take.

The actual packing won't happen until the day before, or two days max. We're going to be gone 10 days, and while we'll do laundry once while we're there, I need to wait because we'll still be using some of the stuff we need to pack. And I imagine there will be some that-morning stuff, toiletries mostly. That's why I made the packing list so I can get it all thrown together pretty quickly.

We are leaving Sunday and I CAN NOT WAIT!!! I have not started packing yet. I like to do it all the day before we leave. There are many things we take with us that we use everyday so it's just easier for me to do it the day or night before we leave. I do make my packing list up weeks ahead of time. Kinda like a checklist and it makes it easy to go around and gather up everything and mark it off my list. I put everything in the dining room and my husband brings the suitcases in there and I get everything packed. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get everything to fit. I also weigh the suitcases because once I was over the 50 pound limit by a pound and they made me take stuff out right in line at the airport and pack it into other suitcases. It was embarassing and I do not want that to happen to us again.

We packed the day before we left, but it was just the two of us with two small carry-on suitcases.

I don't even have my next trip definitively planned yet and I already have stuff squirreled away for it in a rubbermaid box, assorted toiletries, ponchos, etc...
