When do you go to disney? I can't

make up my mind. I had decided to go after the 1st of august but don't know when!!! should I go before school starts back or wait til afterwards. IF I go before we can stay longer I think, if it doesn't cost to much or I can wait til after school starts and miss all the crowds. and by the way are the crowds bad toward to middle of august I have changed my mind so many times I don't know what to do and my DH doesn't even know he is going this year. so all you DIS diehards out there help me with some INfO.

i would go after school starts..it is going to be pretty busy in august...

If you can go the in the last two weeks of August it is crowd nice. We walked on many rides and at most waited 20 minutes in line. I'd say shoot for the extra time.

I would also say go near the end of August. Alot of schools seem to start up around Aug. 23rd.

I would go after school starts in September for two reasons

1. The crowds will be significantly diminished.
2. It won't be as drop dead hot, as it is in the summer months.

I have been in January, February, April and October. I loved January. I live in RI so getting out of the freezing cold and into 60 degree weather is soo nice. But we went this past OCtober. It was a little on the warm side but I would go again then in a heart beat. We went to MNSSHP and it was THE best. The crowds werent that bad.

We might try December the next time we go.

I personally would never do Disney in the summer - its just way too hot

I have been in the first week of May, and in the middle of September. The lines were not as long in September (Ithink the most we waited is 20 minutes, and we always went to the park with EMH), but it was a lot hotter. My bf would rather go back in May because he practically melted during our last trip in September!!!

Definatly go the end of August. We always go there that time and the crowds are close to nothing. True its very hot but just drink lots of liquids and stuff. The crowds are very managable compared to other times of the year.

We always wait & go 2 weeks after Easter...when the crowd level is not so bad. We just pull the kids out of school for a week.

We're also doing an extra trip this year...we leave on Sat. for 8 days at POP!
