When do you eat main meals - lunch, dinner or both?

I've got restaurant reservations for most lunchtimes that we are there next week (some of them have to be lunchtimes, can't change to evenings). But I also want to eat at several of the Village restaurants in the evenings, too. Does anybody else have main meals for both lunch and dinner or is that just outrageously greedy of us?! :)

We wouldn't normally do this but sometimes being a touch greedy is required if you want to try all the restaurants. I would say go for it and join Weight Watchers when you come back. We have done it in Florida before, as our friends from the US are big eaters, but we had to quit after a few days as we were sitting down to our next meal still full from the last. And (poor gramma I know) they were making us a cooked breakfast every morning too, I have never been so close to popping.

I would say indulge and enjoy it only a few days of excess.

We often eat our main meal at lunch time or mid afternoon but we are often there when the park is open late so find this gives us a break from the crowds etc.
Not sure I could manage 2 main meals but remember you dont have to have a full meal - you could just opt for a main course or salad

When we went in July we had lunch as main meals (Walts, Nugget, Cafe Mickey) at quite a late lunch time, then grabbed a waffle or something for dinner as the park was open past 11pm.

On my next trip I want to try inventions and california grill so we'll be eating at night as the park will be shutting at 6/7 but will still have one day at Walts for lunch!!

Similar to how we eat at home we have our main meal at supper time in the evening :)

We usually eat a main meal in the evening if I go with my parents or mid afternoon if I go with my sister as that way my niece isn't tired.

If we are hungry in the evening then we would get a snack such as a bagette, crisps or ice cream

i was planning all evening meals till i realised if we had lunch then we dinner would be a waste as we wouldnt be hungry. i guess it depends on how you eat at home. i always eat a big lunch and dont bother much at dinner and so does my dd so lunch it is for us

I'd rather eat a smaller meal at lunch and a big meal in the evenings but it doesn't seem to work out this time. Agrabah is only open for lunch and I'm definitely eating there. We also want to do Blue Lagoon but have never been lucky enough to get a waterside table so we figured that if we got in as soon as it opened (which is obviously for lunch) then we might be lucky this time. Also doing the princess lunch at Auberge for DD but can't risk DS (just turned 1) being cranky in the evening and ruining it for her - so that's 3 big lunches booked for a 5 day trip! Then I also really want to eat at Annette's, Rainforest Cafe and Cowboy Cookout (though that's not what my husband calls it :rotfl: ). That's rather a lot of big meals to pack into one trip! At least we are eating early each day (1145) so maybe we'll be hungry again by 7pm. Goodness knows how the baby's going to last until then though... :crazy2:

For us it's
Big breakfast.
Small Lunch, snacks I've taken with us.
Main meal in the evening.

Except the Lucky Nugget Buffet, the kid's favourite and it only ever seems to be doing lunches when we're there.

I really hate using up park time to stop and eat.

We usually opt for a light lunch (Casey's or similar counter service), followed by a full table service meal in the evenings. The one exception to this is our last day, when we have a table service at lunch time to fill us up before the journey home.

On my recent Disneyland California trip though, I did the very opposite - had a table service meal at lunch, then I actually skipped dinner all together due to the large portion sizes (though in DLRP I would have had a light dinner because the DLRP portion sizes are smaller than those at DL California).

Well last year we had a small lunch, grabbed a hot dog from somewhere, then ate a big meal after the park closed at 6pm. That then made the kids nice and full and tired to go back to the hotel around 9 ish and crash out :), having a nice long sleep till the next morning :)

Having two growing boys with hollow legs, a lot of our holiday revolves around food.So our day goes something like this.....

Breakfast
Snack
Lunch...Counter Service
Snack
Dinner...Table Service
and finally a snack before bed

Except for our final day when we will go to The Lucky Nugget at Lunchtime.

Golly what a lot of food :scared1:

We eat main meals every meal! Sadly, we are gluttons!

Am glad you posted that Bob;) . Depending on where we are/what we're doing, we tend to eat main meals at every meal too. One day I can definitely remember is we had brekkie in the park (9.30 slot I think), then Auberge at 12, then dinner at Sequoia Lodge at about 6.30 lol.

i normally have cereal bars for breakfast then grab something from the cable car bake shop at about 9.30. then its normally something from a counter service restaurant for lunch then table service for dinner and snacks at various points in the day. DBF is a bottomless pit so he has about 5 hot dogs a day lol. If you want to get round a lot of restaurants then go for having 2 main meals a day then you won't miss out on anything!
