When do WL Villas become available to General Public?

Now for the weekdays, I don't think you can rent a room for the same price as member points. A Sun night through Thurs night stay in a 2 bdrm at OKW in Sept is 22 points or $220 and a studio is only 8 points for a total of $80. So what everyone should do is to rent from members during the week and book with CRO for the weekends.

I agree, I don't believe you can reserve through CRO for weekdays for a price even close to what renting points would cost. Renting points for weekdays, then reserving through CRO for the weekends is probably the least expensive way to go.
But, because the weekend points are so high, even if you make your entire reservation through CRO, you still save a little money!


If I were going to do that, I'd reserve the entire length of stay through CRO first. If for some reason you can't get the points for the time you need, you still have reservations. If you do get points, you can always cancel the days you don't need with CRO.

The AP rates we were quoted were for the middle of June. As I recall, it was valid for May of this year also. The AP rate was right at $470 for a 2 br OKW villa. If I'm not mistaken May/June is regular season, where September is value. That might explain why your quote was lower than what I was quoted for the AP rate.

Great! Be sure and keep an eye out for discount codes when you get a little closer in to your arrival time. If WDW releases codes, they almost always beat the AAA rate. A very general time frame to expect discounts to show up would be after the first of next year. Good Luck!
