When do we think things will become more “normal?”

How do you square that with the proven fact that vaxed people still carry, transmit and die of Covid? Asking for a friend.

Not going there on this thread. There is plenty of solid evidence to back up the effectiveness of vaccines in preventing outbreaks when widely used that is easily obtained elsewhere online.

Vaccines, yes. CDC even admits Covid vaccine, not so much. Wish it were better.

I don't think that we're supposed to talk about Covid too much here. But the fact is that the CDC highly recommends the vaccines and has tons of information available online about their efficacy. The summary is that they're very effective, even against the latest variants of the virus. Please, don't spread misinformation about this.

My personal opinion is that things are as normal as they are going to get for a long while

I think once vaccines roll out to younger kids, things will have a better chance of getting back to "normal." But like someone said above, I wouldn't mind self-service places changing permanently. I LOVE being able to pick out the crispiest pieces of bacon, but I also love not getting norovirus.
