When Do WDW Tickets Bought on TicketsAtWork Expire

I have access to TicketsAtWork through my employer and saw that they are currently running a special where you can get a 5-day park-hopper for $30 less than the normal cost of a 3-day park hopper. The only terms state that it expires 14 days from the first use - it says nothing about an expiration date for when that first use must be. I called and asked and the customer service rep stated that there was no expiration date, but I'm still suspicious.

We don't have a trip planned, but if there really is no expiration date, I would like to buy them with the hope of going at some point in the next few years. Has anyone had any experience with this and know if/when these tickets would expire?

My brother gets his tickets through TicketsAtWork. They are regular MYW ticket. All MYW tickets expire 14 days after their first day of use unless you have added the no-expiry option. They never expire if they are unused. However, Disney can limit their use to the parks which were in existence at the time of purchase. Since Disney isn't landing to open any new parks in the next couple of years, you should be fine,

Thank you so much! That makes me feel much better about it. One other question - is this an unheard of deal, or is it something that they offer from time to time? It says it's a Memorial Day special, so I'm assuming it'll end soon, but if they offer the same thing on other holidays, I might just wait until we actually start planning a Disney vacation.

Thanks again!

I use tickets at work also and as far as I can tell it pretty much always has this sale per say. The way they word it is you are buying a ticket for so many days and then get so many days free but they are basically just giving around a $30 discount on the tickets. We used it last year when we bought our tickets and will probably use it again this year. I have compared the price with Undercover tourist and its a few dollars cheaper to go through tickets at work.

I usually use Undercover Tourist for great prices on tickets, but after seeing this thread I decided to check out TicketsatWork through my company's benefit site.
I'm honestly surprised that the discounts look steeper than UC's. There has to be a catch or something that I'm missing?

If I buy a 5-day Park Hopper for $323 through TaW and add the Water Park option at the park, is it still only $26 to add the option (which was the difference between the full price 5-day PH and 5-day PH+WP, IIRC)?

I used Tickets At Work before and they were great. Since I bought them pretty last minute I picked them up in Orlando once we got down there. Smooth and easy transaction.

I would like an answer about adding WP option.

Yes, adding WPF&M option to 5-day PH tickets is $26 + tax = $27.69. To insure you get this price and keep your TaW ticket discount, use the tickets once to enter a theme park. This raises the value of your tickets to Disney gate price (called price-bridging). Then do your upgrade at a theme park Guest Relations office or GR at DTD. If they quote a higher price, they didn't bridge the tickets. Find another CM to do it (not all seem to know how).

Thanks POOHsie, that's what I thought. So I assume that would also mean that adding a 6th day would cost whatever the normal gate price difference is between the 5-day and the 6-day, and not the discounted 5-day ticket vs. the full-price 6-day?

The smallest PH+WP they offer is a 7-day, and they offer a 5- or a 7- day PH.

The way we're planning it now, we are looking to get the 5-day PH and add on either the WP option, a 6th day, or both (I realize that the WP option may be more for a 6th day).

When you use your discount tickets to enter a theme park, they are raised in value to Disney gate price. So there's no consideration for what you paid originally. You are now just doing your math by the Disney gate price chart.

Disney tickets are priced highest for days 1-3. At day 4 thru day 10, to add one day costs $10 + .65 tax = $10.65. PH option is less for days 1-3 and then costs $60 no matter how many days your ticket is for. WPF&M is always $60 no matter what ticket (I think you get 2 WPF&M entries with 1 day ticket). Combo PH + WPF&M is always $86.

In your case, adding a day is $10.65. Adding WPF&M to your PH is $27.69. Use the Disney gate price chart (below) to see how much you save by purchasing additional options prior to arrival at WDW. Hmmm, makes you want to stay longer, doesn't it. ;)

Here's the Disney price chart: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tickets/

I always do (want to stay longer)!

I had actually literally just finished the math at that site right before your last post came through (and obviously got the same #s).

Thanks again!

the original question was answered but wanted to add my caution
to make sure you're comparing apples to apples when looking at the ticket sites. always make sure you go the checkout pages to see what the fees are and the final price to compare.

I've never seen the email confirmation for disney tickets before (been a long time since I bought from these sites) so I'm assuming it's a voucher to pickup at the parks (is there a 'will call'?) otherwise you have to pick up in their office or pay on top for shipping. so just make sure that's factored in too.

i did this dance a while back and almost bought from one site, got all the way to the end of the checkout process and then they said how much shipping was if you weren't picking up from some local out of the way place. the shipping was crazy and negated any savings. wound up at UT in the end with the small mousesavers discount.

Well, this is pretty spot on.
After all the fees and everything UT ended up being about the same price as TaW (which at first glance seemed like a much better deal). I'm going with them (UT) because they are less of a hassle and because the rep from TicketsatWork with whom I spoke when I called with questions came off as a goon.
