When Do The Resorts Get Decorated For Christmas??

Call me crazy, but I am looking into booking ANOTHER vacation for the week of Nov.9-Nov.15. We would catch the end of F&W and the beginning on MVMCP & The Osborne Lights show. Sounds perfect to me, but I was curious as to when the resorts start to decorate Even if it was a couple pieces of garland and Christmas music playing(especially the Poly Christmas Music) I would be one happy camper! Not crazy at all!!!

We asked a WL manager that question - MK resorts have their decorations up by the Thurs or Fri of the week before Thanksgiving. Other resorts will be decorated by Thanksgiving. EPCOT resorts were working on decorations the week prior to Thanksgiving, but had a ways to go. Even EPCOT did not have many decorations the week prior to Thanksgiving but HS and MK were looking great! We were there a couple of years ago over Nov 18 - 22. MK resorts were done by the 19th that year - do not recall if GF Gingerbread House was finished.

November 9 - 15 is early, but you'll some decorations going up! Thanksgiving was early last yr decorations went up earlier than usual.

We typically go the week before thanksgiving and most of the decorations are up. The ones that are finishing up are usually the bigger ones like the gingerbread houses in each reosrt. It is cool to see them being made and how much work is involved in putting them up.

We stayed at WL the weekend of thanksgiving 2010 and they just started putting up the tree. Usually do it in the middle of the night. We went Veterans Day week last year and the parks were decorated but the resorts were not. By the end of the week they were working on the gingerbread house at the contemporary. It's pretty cool to watch them build it. Plus the give you yummy samples! Have a great trip!
