I know that the Christmas decorations aren't all up until the day after Thanksgiving, but when do the trees in the resort lobbies usually go up? I'd love to see them and we are leaving to come home the day after Thanksgiving.

I was there the second week in November in '04, and the trees were up in my resort (POFQ), GF and AKL (which were the only resorts I was at), but I would assume that all the resorts put them up at the same time. I will say though, that when I went to GF about mid-week, they had put up the gingerbread house building, but it didn't have the gingerbread on it yet, but when I went back at the end of the week, it was all decorated.

Wouldn't you think all the decorations would be up in time for the first MVMCP? I know the first one is the middle of November. :confused3

I sure hope they are up before Dec 6. We arrive Dec 1 until Dec 9.

We were there for Super Soap in '05 (didn't plan for that weekend it just worked out that way) and the park trees were all up and for the most part completely decorated. It was also the weekend that the Osborne Lights started and was really cool. I actually hope that there are still some vestiges of Christmas when we arrive on the 2nd of January :)

In 96 and 97 we went to the MK a day or 2 before Thanksgiving, on Thanksgiving no decorations were up and the day after like magic all the parks and resorts were decorated. Don't know if it is still like now but would like to go again that time of year, the decorations are great. Anyway will be at POP this Friday for 9 nights.:hippie: :cool1:

We were there last year in early Nov. and they were just beginning to put up the decorations.

Well if Disney was operated like a greeting card store, they would've had them up two months ago.:rotfl2: Sorry, I couldn't resist.

The decorations start going up around the start of Thanksgiving week and by the end of that week they are all up.

eek I get holiday stuff. I am so excited. I never been to disney when it was decorated for Christmas.

A couple of years ago, they put the tree up at POFQ the day before we left - November 4th.

I am going Nov 14 - 20 and was told they would be up by then. And the Osborne lights will be going as well.

We were at CSR last year and the tree was up on Thanksgiving Day. Parks were decorated well before that though, prior to the first MVMCP.

Last year we arrived on December 1st and all the Christmas trees and decorations in the parks and resorts were in full swing ... :santa: The Osbourne Lights go up in the summer months, they are just not on until the middle of November or so. Its one of the most beautiful times of year to be in Disney!:santa:

We stayed at the BC last year from Nov. 20-28th. All the Christmas decorations were up at the resort then, as well as at the parks, from what I could tell.

Hey, I work in a greeting card store! Yeah, it's Christmas in July for us.:santa: I'm also hoping there will still be some Christmas spirit at Disney when we get there Jan.2.:flower3:
