When do the Christmas lights/decorations go up?

Hi guys...been really busy and boy have I missed alot!

Just a quick question...we are thinking of going to The Fort in early to mid November.

When do the Christmas decorations go up in the World and the Fort?

We love Halloween but can't get back in Oct. so we hope to catch some of Christmas but can only go in November.

I think the lights start going up around Thanksgiving -- maybe they start the day after?

I could be wrong though -- maybe some of the resorts start a little earlier. But "officially" the lights go up right after Thanksgiving.

Hi,

Oh I am so jealous as I won't be going this holiday season. But, I am booked for 2009. LOL! I am not sure when the campers start putting up their stuff, but I use to put mine up as soon as I got there on Wed (the day before Thanksgiving.) The parks and resorts start decorating the beginning of November and by the week of Thanksgiving it's pretty much done.

The official decorations at the Fort go up during the week of Thanksgiving.

The "official" Fort decorations go up around thanksgiving weekend. Although in 2002, they were really late getting them up. IIRC - it was about 10 days before Christmas.

The "unofficial" site decorations can start anytime after Halloween!

last i head it was around the 22nd. of nov....last Dec I was there the second weekend in Dec, and they were still putting up stuff at the Fort
