We'll be at the ft. Jan. 2, 2008 for a week. We usually go the weekend before christmas but the way the kids school schedule worked out -no can do this yr. :cool1: So we opted for Jan. when it's value season again. Anyway, we live for the sites all decked out and were wondering when Disney and most vacationers take them down. We are hoping they will be up at least until Jan. 6the (the weekend.) Anybody camped that week?
thanks!

They will still be up and fully so. Epcots Christmas fireworks program may be over by then, and the Osmond Families christmas lights display may be over (at MGM). Not sure about that. But all of the Resorts will have their displays up, and they are well worth seeing. Don't miss the Grand Floridian lobby.

Thanks! I love the grand Floridian's gingerbread house. We always try to make it to the resorts to see them decorated but it's always before christmas. I know the Osbourne lights are up until the first weekend in jan. I love seeing the ft. all done up. It's a cozy and yet fun sight to see.:thumbsup2 thanks again for the info.

Yea, chances are there will still be decorations up by then, although they will definitely be starting to take some of it down (and as the above poster mentioned, the Osmonds and similar shows will probably no longer be in effect). As for the campers, I would think you'll still see quite a bit, especially those that are still there from Christmas.

It's cutting it close, but you should still be able to see quite a bit of the decorations :)

Oh and by the way, you're going at what is considered by most to be the absolute DEADEST time of year at Walt Disney World. I don't think you'll have to wait in line for anything!! lol

i doubt it will be dead as all of central Fl schools will be out that week due to the way the school schedule worked out. i know a lot of my friends are going to the parks. the only bummer is my FL resident seasonal passes don't kick in until jan.6th. We'll just enjoy the campgrounds and decorations-RIGHT?!!:goodvibes
We're going the week of thanksgiving so I'm hoping many of the sites will be decorated as i'm sure the parks will be by then. Passes work this week...:thumbsup2
thanks guys for your info. I'm hoping Jan. will be dead.:confused3

No worries, Thanksgiving week everything is up, Osborne lights start up, we go every Thanksgiving, you won't miss a thing if you go then!! :)
