When do SW codes/sales come out for August?

I am new to flying Southwest. I also posted a similar reply in the SW code forum but not sure if that was the right place. I really, really want to fly Southwest and not Spirit this summer but right now Spirit even with all the extra baggage fees is cheaper. The current sale on the website 69 one way is good through June 6th I believe. When or will they release any sales/codes for August? Should I just wait it out or book now? They are ok prices but still $240 roundtrip for our dates. I am getting nervous and could use some advice. If I wait for some kind of sale do you think by that time they would have already raised the base price from what I am seeing now? Southwest experts needed!!! Thanks in advance for your help..

I am also looking for info for Aug for SWA. I am flying out of BUF and rt prices are running around 300.00 pp. Am I just looking too early or is this an average price for Aug? The last two years we have flown in Sept and rt was around 200.00 pp. This is how I budgeted for our trip this year and I am getting a little nervous.

I am right there with you. After looking for the past couple of weeks and realizing it was cheaper to fly out the next day I called disney and extended my trip. Now I think I jumped the gun too early and maybe there will be some kind of discount coming out that will apply to my dates. But I also don't want it to be wishful thinking and ending up regretting booking the rates I am seeing now. So frustrating... by the way, my husband has no idea I called and extended our trip.

I realize this is sort of an older thread but I too am looking for aug air fare

and I read somewhere about SW having a birthday sale but I dont remember when

was I just reading things that arent really there

or will sw have a sale

The rumour for the Southwest Birthday sale is mid June. I have only read it on one forum though so take that as you will.
I wasn't comfortable waiting and found a non stop flight on Jetblue to Orlando and then a non stop coming back on Southwest. The times were good and it worked out to about 300 a person from Buffalo which, at the time, was much lower than anything else for our dates. Coming home labour day weekend the prices were very high.
