When do summer Crowds start showing up?

When do the summer crowds start showing up??? Do you think the beginning of May, middle May, end of May, First of June?? What is your thought?

I have always heard that it is the end of May. Anyone one else have an idea?

We visited over Mothers day weekend this year for my DD 2nd birthday. The crowds were non existant. I don't think we used fast pass but 1 time and that was on Mothers Day. Even then the crowds were nothing like in the summer. We were told by a CM that the end of May is when the crowds start because of school getting out.

Two years ago we went from May 17 - 25 and there were no crowds until Friday the 24th because it was the beginning of Memorial Day weekend. So I'd say from Memorial Day on is when attendance picks up. BTW, we've also been to WDW the first week of May and it is a beautiful month to go. The Flower and Garden Festival is going on in Epcot and we've lucked out with great weather on both of our May trips.

We were there after Memorial Day through June 9, and the parks were getting hectic. It was worst at MK, where getting Fastpasses became essential mid-morning. AK was pretty quiet (just one fastpass) both times we went.
