When do school supplies go on sale?

I think some Walmarts have them for 30 cents but for a possible extra nickel Crayola is SOOOO much better!!! THe Rose Art is very waxy and they do not look good in art projects.

I just returned from Walmart and the crayola crayons were .25 each! So I will return the rose art crayons. Thanks for the heads up.

Our Walmart was picked over on school supplies for some things. School doesn't start until August 17th I think. I really had to dig to find the .15 notebooks in wide rule. I always buy extras of these because I use them for our trip planning notes.

For those looking for index cards and dry erase markers...I remember last year Office Maxx had those pretty cheap during their big sale (the one where they have rulers and pencil boxes for 1 cent) but that wasn't until August, I think.

Walgreens has index cards for 39 cents (or 59 cents, can't remember) and Expo markers for $1.99 for 4 pack.

My mom just came home with the index cards for 59 cents. 5 subject dividers for 79 but buy 3 get 1 free I think the price was on one oand then the ones with pockets same deal but 1.39 I think, glue sticks 2 for 59 and dry erase markets with a coupon for 1.99 for a 4 pack. Now all that I KNOW i need is a protractor and inex card boxes. Everything else I have to wait on.

Went to our Walmart today and they didn't have squat set up yet. It was the normal stock with no sales and nothing extra set up. We don't go back to school until August 31st, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Maybe it's a little too early then. Check back next week, but don't wait too long. Our school starts August 17th. I went to Walmart yesterday and some of the sale items were already picked over. I had a hard time finding 7" scissors. I was lucky to find one pair that had been thrown into another bin by mistake. And there were maybe 20 of the .15 spiral notebooks in wide rule. I took 10 and picked out the best colors for my son. I left yellow and red behind. Ds likes blue, green and black.

Now, most likely they will re-stock, but I wasn't willing to risk it.

By the way, I just saw this week's K mart add. They have 150 ct. filler paper 2/$1 and pack of 10 paper mate pens 3/$1.
