When do people cancel ADRs ?

When do they have to cancel for them not to get charged (CC secured ADR) ?

I'm looking for a hard to get ADR I called 90 days+4 & could'nt get it.
I tried again at exactly 90 days from this date.
When should I try again, I feel stupid to call in everyday to get the same answer

I have one TS left & don't want anything but this one, if I don't get it at the end what can I do with this TS ? can I change it for a CS ? Oh I so hope I can get it at some point

I'm going during free dining of course...

Instead of calling in every day go to disneyworld.com, click on dining and try to check avaialbility online

We have the free dining plan and I was able to make all our dining reservations online.

i also have been trying for this......called a couple of times but nothing...i think it has a lot to do with the show being only twice a week so i really cant see too many cancellations.....but i hope i am wrong!!

I am also looking to change one of mine and I am thinking that at 45 days out, or the week of, may be a good time to check due to people canceling then.

If I want a ADR for an upcoming trip...I call everyday until I do get a day I want (if I don't get the time I want I take it and go to the restaurant that day and see if they can change the time and most of the time they accomodate us)

Great suggestion! I never thought about that. I doubt that we could do this because there is 9 in our party. But great thought on the days that we split up.

I noticed during our last trip that many times people cancel their reservations the day before or the day of their reservation. We managed to get into two extremely popular restaurants when I called the morning of when we were actually at the park. Some people change their minds at the last minute (I am guilty of doing that as well) and they call at the last minute to cancel. So you could always give that a try as well.

We booked a last min trip in May, 1 wk notice, & I called everyday as well as constantly checked the ADR cancellation thread on here. We were able to get Chef Mickeys, Le Cellier, Akershus and many more that we really wanted.
